when i was in high school my friend had two 6 in bazooka bass tubes, one amplified and one passive. He had the passive wired into the powered and they sounded excelent. I have bought a coulpe tubes in the past few years hoping to get the sound i remember, but cant.  I'm hoping this might be very similar to what he had, but just cant for the life of me remember for sure what they looked like.

That does appear to be an A40. Here are the specs for that Tube;
