Default Confusion about BTA8100FHC specs?

Between the Crutchfield and Sonic websites the BTA8100FHC is listed as having:
  • Class D amplifier
  • Polypropylene woofer
  • Subsonic filter
On the Bazooka website it doesn't seem like any of this is included or even talked about. Anyone know the deal on these particular specs?

The BTA8100FHC is the same as the BTA8100, except it comes with the FAST harness system.

Paper cone with foam surround

built in subsonic filter

crossover point set at 85 Hz

The only class D amplified tube we have is the BTAxx250 models.

Thanks for the reply Geneh!

I was sent a BT8018 by accident earlier this week, it had a poly woofer. From the pictures I'm seeing on some of the other models it looks like a couple other models have the poly woofer too.

When I called the 800-Bazooka line and spoke to someone in tech support they said there's no such thing, that only your marine models come with poly woofers.

However, both Crutchfield and Sonic list poly woofers on several of the units they carry, and I saw one with my own eyes.

What's the story there?

What you saw was the dust cap. Which is poly, but the cone is paper.

All of the Tubes have paper woofers with poly. dust covers. All Marine Series Tubes have poly. woofers.

Thanks for that HeavyDuty!

You guys should tell Sonic to remove the Class D amp listing from certain units.

They've got pretty much every active tube listed as Class D except the BTA850FH.

They also have several 100 watt models listed as poly woofers too...

Our marketing department is aware of the problem and they are working on getting it fix.

Appreciate the correct info given here but, unfortunately, this was all too late and I was unable to avoid several lengthy and confusing phone calls with Sonic, several emails and calls to Bazooka, only to wind up purchasing a tube that did not come with two important features that I was assured it did...

Too tired to fight and fuss anymore....bummer.

Update: Bazooka apologized for the confusion, and is sending me a peace offering as compensation.
