Re: FAST harness help

You should grab a DMM and check for +12v at the Tube. If I am reading your post correctly, you are connected to the wrong source for power.

Re: Power Sub CS8A5 wiring

No, you cannot connect the CS8A5 input wires to the RCA jacks of the headunit. You will need to find the harness of the headunit and attach the input wires of the CS8A5, as instructed in the owner's...

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions

Sure, you can try to the High Level Inputs connected to the factory harness. In some factory systems there is no problem, while with others, the system will shut down and a key-off, key-on brings it...

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions

You will need to decide where to make your connections for the Tube's signal input. You will most likely need a LOC (line output converter), in order for the factory system to stay on. There can be...

Re: BTA10100FHC not sounding good at all

In order to troubleshoot your install correctly, you will need to determine if you are indeed connected to the correct speakers, as well as the correct positive and negative wires of each speaker. ...

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions

You will always measure 12V from the constant supply source and the antenna lead, without the vehicle running. With the vehicle running your +12V constant may be as high as 14.4V, but this depends...

Re: Alpine r 10 help please!

As it is plastic, there technically is nothing to short out. From the pictures, it does look like you have an older model Tube. The older model Tubes, such as yours (it looks as if it may be an EL...

Re: Alpine r 10 help please!

You will have to measure the diameter of the terminal cup, preferably before you remove it from the Tube, both external and internal. You should find a replacement terminal cup easy enough.

Re: Where do I find out if a bazooka will fit?

The easiest way will be measuring the available space you have and compare the dimensions of the Tube (6.75" wide, 8" height and 18.5" length).

You have two options here, switch out the rear springs to a specific rate, compensating for the additional junk in the trunk, which will in turn make for a for poor handling, nose diving Mustang, or...

Re: New BTA850fh not working

You lost me. What blue wires? and what are the L and R holes of the headunit? Are you referring to the blue/white wire of the FAST-9999? If so, did you measure for +12v on this circuit when the...

Re: Silverado/Bose Issues

To be honest with you, probably not as the harness in the GM products have changed. The only way to know for sure is to examine the connectors and even then, without the proper schematic, most...

Re: Bta8100 placement question

No, the sound you are describing has nothing to do with a ported enclosure, it could be the crossover point. However, as far as placement, yes, this is of huge importance. The Tube should always be...

Re: Hook up advice

You are dealing with an impedance issue. Purchase a Line Output Converter with a remote turn-on lead, and install. This will fix your problem.

Re: installed 10 inch bta10100 sub, no difference

I went to best buy to have them look at the installation, but they said more likely than not, the factory sub won't have any affect. The tech blamed the quality of bazooka as the culprit.

This...

Re: FAST-9999 Installaton Instructions

Re: BTA8100FHC - Bazooka Sub :bravo-009:

No, because the signal source is not dependent on fading left or right, in fact, the fader is of zero use in an application like this. You will need to connect to both the left and right channels to...

Re: Bazooka EL - need help with wiring

If it is indeed an EL-6A, then yes, the harness is plug and play. As for the subwoofer output of the new headunit, just purchase a Y-adapter to connect both of the jacks. You will really want both...
